Win $5,000, 1,000 pounds of food + more for your favorite shelter! #RememberMeThursday

“All of the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” A time to take the words of Saint Francis of Assisi to heart, Remember Me Thursday is a day to light the way for a better future for homeless dogs and cats as we light candles in tribute to the beloved members of our own fur family who have crossed Rainbow Bridge and the companion animals whose time on Earth ended without a home to call their own.

Established in 2013 by the Helen Woodward Animal Center, on the fourth Thursday in September the combined lights of candles both real and virtual will create a glow around the globe that will shed light on the fact that just 30 percent of pets in US homes were adopted from shelters or rescue organizations, while more than 2.7 million dogs and cats are euthanized in US shelters each year.
