2019 Dog-Friendly Major League Baseball Games

Spring is just around the corner, and that means that the boys of summer will soon be back on the playing field! Many major league teams host special dog-themed games during the season, so be sure to “pitch” the idea of attending a Bark in the Park game to your baseball-loving barking buddy!

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks will soon reveal plans for the team’s special dog day events. We will dig up all the details as soon as the information becomes available!

Atlanta Braves

Sports fans with fur will get their own portable dog bowl and water bottle when the Braves face the Miami Marlins during an April 7 Bark in the Park game.

Chicago White Sox

Rover can watch the White Sox run the bases when the team hosts Dog Day games on April 29 (when they go up against the Baltimore Orioles) and September 10th (when they face the Kansas City Royals. Comfort stations will be available in the Outfield concourse for your canine companion.

Cincinnati Reds

Hoping to be chosen to be a MVP (Most Valuable Pet!) in a forever family, adorable adoptables from the SPCA Cincinnati Organization will be in the pet expo area of all Cincinnati Reds’ Bark in the Park games, which will take place April 25 (against the Atlanta Braves), May 14 (when the Reds take on the Chicago Cubs), June 17 (when the team faces the Houston Astros) and September 3 (against the Philadelphia Phillies). Four-legged fans and their pet parents also have the opportunity to take part in a parade prior to the first pitch.

Detroit Tigers

You and your tail-wagging chum can cheer for the Tigers as players round the bases during three 2019 Bark at the Park games! Fido’s favorite team will go up against the Miami Marlins on May 21, the Texas Rangers on June 25 and the Baltimore Orioles on September 16. A potion of the proceeds from each game benefit the Michigan Humane Society!

Houston Astros

As the old saying goes, every dog has his day, and for furry fans of the Houston Astros that day will soon be announced on the team’s website! We’ll fetch all of the information for you when it becomes available.

Kansas City Royals

The Royals reign supreme in the hearts of their Fido-loving fans, as $5 from each Bark at the Park #1 package sold benefits the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, and Wayside Waifs will receive $5 from each Bark at the Park #2 package purchased! Pups who attend the first Bark at the Park of 2019 on April 29th will receive a LED light-up collar, while dogs sitting in the lower level left field corner of Kauffman Stadium for Bark at the Park 2 on May 15th will go home with a Royals dog leash.

Milwaukee Brewers

Scoring a home run in the hearts of their doggedly devoted fans, the Brewers will host Bark at the Park when they take on the Atlanta Braves on July 16th. A day of play with a higher purpose, not only will attending dogs receive a rope toy and the chance to promenade in a pre-game parade, a portion of the sale of Bark at the Park ticket packages will go to the Wisconsin Humane Society and the Animal Rescue Foundation.

New York Mets

Going to bat for North Shore Animal League America (with the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world receiving a portion of sales of both dog and human tickets), the Mets will face the Philadelphia Phillies on April 22, the Washington nationals on May 21 and the Miami Marlins on September 26. Before the umpire yells “Let’s play ball!” pups and their pet parents can participate in a dog parade.

Oakland Athletics

Pups and their pet parents can watch the A’s play ball when the team hosts Bark at the Park on June 21st. We will dig up all of the info about the upcoming game as soon as it becomes available!

Pittsburgh Pirates

Homeless animals who have been thrown a curve ball by life will find that it’s a brand new ballgame when the Pirates play during special Pup Nights at PNC Park! Taking place place in 2019 every time the team plays a home game on Tuesday, the Pirates will face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 23; the Texas Rangers on May 7; the Colorado Rockies on May 21; the Atlanta Braves on June 4; the Detroit Tigers on June 18; the Chicago Cubs on July 2; the St. Louis Cardinals on July 23; the Milwaukee Brewers on August 6; the Washington Nationals on August 20; the Miami Marlins on September 3; the Seattle Mariners on September 17 and the Chicago Cubs on September 24. A portion of the proceeds from Dog Package tickets will give the gift of a better tomorrow to dogs and cats at local animal shelters. The family Fido attending a Pup Night event on April 23, September 3 and September 24 will also receive a special souvenir.

San Diego Padres

While the Padres invite pups to the Dog Days of Summer game each year, pooches of pet parents who purchase special seating in The Barkyard can watch every game the Padres play at Petco Park. Families with Fidos can fill out an online form to get on the wait list for a coveted opening.

Seattle Mariners

The Mariners will reel in two-and four-legged baseball buffs to their four Bark at the Park games, taking place April 14, when they face the Houston Astros; May 28, when they go up against the Texas Rangers; July 22, once again against the Rangers; and September 12, when they play against the Cincinnati Reds. Pups and their humans will be sitting in the catbird seat as they watch the game from the designated Bark at the Park area, which will include comfort stations, a waste disposal management team, water stations and veterinarians for our canine friends. Following the game tail-waggers can tap into their inner sports star with a walk around the bases.

St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals will soon announce details of their upcoming May 25th Pooches in the Ballpark game. Fans will be able to fetch tickets as soon as April 17th, and we will post all of the Rover-related information when it becomes available!

Tampa Bay Rays

On June 15th fans with Dog Day at the Rays tickets will receive a special canine-themed souvenir (on a first-come, first-served basis.)

Washington Nationals

A team in a league of its own when it comes to helping animals in need, the Nationals invite sports fans and their Fidos to six Pups in the Park games in 2019. The team will face the New York Mets on March 31 (a date that includes a pre-game pup parade!), the San Diego Padres on April 27, the Miami Marlins on May 26, the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 13, the Atlanta Braves on September 13 and the Cleveland Indians on September 28. All of the proceeds from the games’ dog tickets benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance!
